Most conventional pet shampoos rely on sulfate-based surfactants (like SLS) that clean aggressively but strip the skin's natural oils and disrupt the microbiome. Lumi-noble formulas use mild, bio-compatible surfactants paired with a prebiotic complex — cleaning effectively while actively supporting the beneficial bacteria that protect your pet's skin. The result is a formula that doesn't just clean, but improves skin condition with regular use.
Prebiotics are ingredients that nourish and support beneficial microorganisms already living on your pet's skin. Think of them as food for the good bacteria. A healthy skin microbiome strengthens the skin barrier, reduces sensitivity, and helps defend against irritants. When you wash your pet with a prebiotic formula, you're not just cleaning: you're feeding the ecosystem that keeps their skin naturally healthy.
Probiotic shampoos contain live bacteria cultures added directly to the formula. Prebiotic shampoos — like Lumi-noble — contain the nutrients that feed and support beneficial bacteria already on your pet's skin. Prebiotics are considered more stable and effective for topical use: live bacteria in a bottle are fragile, while prebiotic nutrients remain active through the product's full shelf life.
This is completely normal — and a sign the formula is working gently. SLS is primarily responsible for thick foam, but SLS foam doesn't clean better; it's a sensory cue, not a functional one. Lumi-noble's mild surfactants still lift dirt and oils effectively. If lather is minimal, ensure the coat is thoroughly wet before applying, and work the product through with your hands for 60–90 seconds.
A microbiome-friendly formula is one designed to cleanse without disrupting the healthy ecosystem of microorganisms living on your pet's skin. Conventional cleansers can kill beneficial bacteria along with dirt and pathogens, leaving skin temporarily more vulnerable. Lumi-noble products are formulated to be effective cleaners while preserving the microbial balance that supports a naturally healthy skin barrier.
Pets have thinner, more alkaline skin than humans, making them more sensitive to aggressive surfactants and preservatives. SLS strips the skin's natural lipid barrier, leading to dryness and a compromised microbiome — especially in breeds with sensitive skin or pets bathed frequently. Parabens are preservatives linked to potential endocrine disruption. We exclude both and use alternative gentle preservative systems.
Our formulas are developed in collaboration with veterinary dermatologists and evaluated for skin tolerance, pH compatibility and ingredient safety for companion animals. Safety & Suitability
Yes. Our grooming formulas are designed with high tolerance and are safe for puppies from 6 weeks of age onward. The mild surfactant systems and prebiotic complex make them appropriate for young, developing skin. We recommend using warm water and keeping bath time short for very young puppies. Always dry them thoroughly and keep them warm after bathing.
Yes — this is one of Lumi-noble's key design advantages. Our formulas are pH-balanced to be compatible with both canine and feline skin. Most conventional dog shampoos are unsafe for cats because cats have more sensitive skin and groom off any product residue. Lumi-noble's SLS-free, mild surfactant system and gentle preservatives make it safe for both species.
Yes. Our formulas are designed with sensitive skin in mind — free from common sensitizers including SLS, SLES, parabens, artificial dyes and phthalates. The prebiotic complex actively supports the skin barrier, which is especially beneficial for pets prone to skin reactions. If your pet has a diagnosed skin condition, consult your veterinarian before introducing any new grooming product.
Yes. Our cleansing wipes are formulated with pet-safe ingredients and do not contain any compounds that pose a toxicity risk from incidental ingestion through grooming. The formula is free from alcohol, artificial dyes and harsh preservatives. Wipes are intended for external use only — allow the area to dry briefly before your pet grooms.
Our Prebiotic Deodorizer Spray is designed for use on the coat and body, not for direct application to the face, eyes or ear canals. To freshen the face area, spray a small amount onto a cloth and apply gently, avoiding eyes and nose. Fragrance components are selected specifically for pet safety at concentrations kept low.
Our formulas are designed with high safety margins and exclude ingredients associated with hormonal disruption. However, as with any grooming product used on pregnant or nursing animals, we recommend consulting your veterinarian first. During pregnancy and nursing, skin can become more sensitive.
We recommend a 48-hour gap between applying any topical flea or tick treatment and bathing your pet. This is standard guidance for all grooming products — bathing too soon after a topical treatment can reduce its effectiveness. After the 48-hour window, our mild surfactants won't aggressively strip topical treatments.
How to Use & Frequency
For puppies 6–12 weeks old, once every 3–4 weeks is sufficient. As your puppy grows and becomes more active, you can bathe every 2–3 weeks. Because Lumi-noble formulas use mild surfactants and microbiome-supporting prebiotics, they won't strip the skin's natural barrier with frequent use.
For most adult dogs, every 2–4 weeks is a healthy routine. Dogs with oily coats or an active outdoor lifestyle may benefit from more frequent bathing. For cats (who are self-grooming), full baths are typically needed every 4–6 weeks. Our mild, microbiome-supportive formula makes more frequent bathing possible without drying effects.
Our 1-gallon shampoo is designed for professional grooming with a recommended dilution ratio of 16:1 (16 parts water to 1 part shampoo). This means one gallon yields approximately 17 gallons of ready-to-use shampoo — highly economical for salon use. For heavily soiled coats, an 8:1 dilution can be used.
Yes. Our conditioner can be used as a between-bath treatment to refresh the coat, add moisture and improve manageability. Apply to damp or dry coat, work through with your hands or a brush, and leave in or rinse depending on coat type. Especially useful for long-haired breeds prone to tangles.
Our hypoallergenic cleansing wipes are designed for daily use. They're ideal for paw cleaning after walks, coat refreshing between baths, cleaning skin folds and quick hygiene routines. For cats, wipes are a great alternative to full baths and can be used every 1–2 days for regular grooming maintenance.
(1) Wet your pet's coat thoroughly with warm water. (2) Apply shampoo and work into a lather from neck to tail, massaging into the skin. (3) Leave on for 1–2 minutes to allow the prebiotic complex to work. (4) Rinse thoroughly — residue left on skin can cause irritation. (5) Follow with conditioner for best results, then dry completely.

Hydrolyzed collagen is collagen protein broken down into smaller peptide chains that bind to the hair shaft during bathing. It improves coat softness, adds natural shine and makes the coat more manageable after drying — without creating a heavy or greasy feel. Over repeated use, coats typically show improved texture and reduced breakage.
Many pet owners notice improved coat softness and reduced post-bath dryness from the first wash. Skin-level improvements — such as reduced flakiness, less scratching and improved barrier function — typically become noticeable after 3–4 consistent washes. For pets with more significant skin sensitivity, allow 4–6 weeks of regular use to assess the full benefit.
Our conditioner with hydrolyzed collagen and prebiotic complex helps improve coat health at the root — which can reduce the appearance of excessive shedding over time by improving hair shaft strength. It also significantly reduces matting and tangling. For breeds with naturally heavy shedding seasons, regular conditioning helps manage loose hair and improves coat appearance.
Our cleansing wipes are made with biodegradable cotton fibers designed to break down faster than conventional synthetic-fiber wipes. However, they are NOT flushable — no pet wipe should be flushed as they can cause plumbing blockages. Please dispose of used wipes in the bin. The biodegradable material ensures they break down in landfill environments much faster than standard synthetic wipes.

Storage & Orders
Shampoos and conditioners have a shelf life of 24 months unopened and 12 months after first opening when stored correctly in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Wipes should be resealed after each use and used within 6 months of opening. If a product has changed significantly in color, smell or texture, discontinue use.
